Robin Laing returns to Crail Festival by popular demand. Originally from Edinburgh but now living in rural Clydesdale he has been a full time musician for over twenty years.
Robin has written songs on a wide variety of subjects including Clydesdale Horses, the Forth Bridge, black coffee and love in the shower. His pen flows more readily however when inspired by our national drink and he has become known as The Whisky Bard.
Robin has produced five CDs of whisky related songs and three books on the subject; he also chairs the Tasting Panel and writes tasting notes for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society – an onerous task but one from which he does not shirk.
His performance will have a whisky flavour and there will be the chance to try a whisky or four as well.
